weird week, things I'm thankful for on February 18th

Hi all. This week has been a little rough, but not bad! I discovered that I have allergies.. I have never had them before. They seem to have activated when the nice weather came around and the snow melted. I had plans to meet up with a girl on Tuesday but I woke up feeling so bad and grungy, so I canceled! Today I am going to Greeley, CO to spend time with Michaels parents... They LOOOOOOOOVE seeing Jonas so it's like a little gift for them. Life is good, despite the constant flow of snot, ew.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Today, I am thankful for my sweet little bub, for how quickly he learns new words/things and is an easy child to care for. *I'm thankful for the sun and the warmth this week *for the continual good mood I've been in despite starting my period today *I'm thankful for my period *I'm thankful for NO CRAMPS! and not being pregnant *I'm thankful for the nice car I get to drive *I'm thankful for gas money  *I'm thankful for family living moderately close *I'm thankful to have cute clothes and makeup to wear *for perfume *for my physical body to experience life *for being able to see *for not being color blind *for the crystals that sit on my desk *for the jewel-tone cups we drink out of *for the Evil Shades work to keep me in line *for Andrea for allowing me to do this for her *for the bracelet my mom made me (and probably forgot about haha) *for my little brother who is teaching everyone around him new things while getting into trouble and learning new things for himself *for losing old friends to make room for new ones *for meeting new people everywhere I go *for being OPEN to allowing people in my life *for clarity of mind *for the Neti Pot, seriously *for the coffee I drink every morning *for the spinach smoothies I drink *for the refreshing and energizing shower I'm about to take *for the inspiration I've gotten from Jessica Mullen's blog *for the people that have not unfollowed me due to the drastic changes I've made to my posting style =) *And for the new followers I will inevitably attract!

Today, I'd like to share a picture of one of the Evil Shades I'm most fond of:
Cerberus, from the Mythology Collection. It's a silky dark red with the tiniest fuchsia sparkles. I love it worn alone, or paired with another shade.. It's perfect to use for a smoky eye!

I hope you are all having a beautiful day.. remember to be thankful for even the smallest things in life!

oh, hello =)

I am writing this post today to offer some good vibes, cuz I'm good vibin' and have plenty to share! Recently, I had a very good idea come from my higher-self: Have a journal for times when I am negative, so I can write ONLY my negative thoughts and feelings in it.. and have a journal to ONLY write positive ideas, healthy self-talk, and inspirational or creative streams of thought. A lot of people might know this as a Radical Self-Love Bible. Here is my very new and awesome journal. I haven't written in it yet, as i have like.. 3 others haha.

I recently came upon a MULTITUDE of heart shaped-pendant necklaces. A quick Etsy search brought me to a couple of really sweet sellers. The hear pictured below is from ISewCute, I absolutely ADORE this piece! I purchased this after contacting June about creating a couple different custom pieces that I have yet to order. One is purple glitter, green glitter, and a clear opalescent heart. I'm pretty excited about all of them. I also ordered some pendants from RitzeeRebel, check her shop out too if you don't want to spend as much.

Here I am looking like I'm back in high school or something =) I hope you all had a great Valentine's day!!!

straying from what you expect to see!

Let's start off with an inspiring and effective picture: Amethyst.

Some facts:
-I took this photo, please ask if you'd like to use it!
-It is referred to as a Spiritual Stone because its color violet is same as that of the crown chakra.
-Meditation with it helps one in reaching the spiritual aspect of the universe.
-It is used as a dream stone and to help insomnia.
-A stone traditionally worn to guard against drunkeness and to instill a sober mind.
-Calms emotions and reduces stress. It is used as a transmitter of the healing power of the universe.
Thanks to www.newagedirectory.com for the information!

I've got that piece sitting on my desk, it's really beautiful and I have future plans for it.. secrets! I realize the stone itself isn't powerful, but when given meaning and purpose it can be used in a powerful way. When I look at it, I feel an unmoving sense of love and hope.. I feel like this could be a useful tool for self-love! If a crystal could give you a hug, this is the one that would do it! Purple is definitely a color I am attracted to in life. I don't care how cheesy and new-age I sound right now!

Remember how I said I was going to post more often? Not really sure if that's true anymore. I've been so exhausted and haven't really spent a lot of time on makeup. I think blogging (about makeup alone) might have lost it's sparkle for me, FOR NOW. I know I'm the type of person that gets mega obsessed with something for a short time, then when it starts to get boring I abandon the activity.
It could also be the snowy weather.
It could also be that I'm trying to focus on other more important things.
I have a lot to work through and a lot to organize in my life so blogging is definitely on the backburner of my mind, but not forgotten.

I always have ideas for posts and I realize that I subconsciously put expectations on what a blog post is supposed to look like. Good thing I noticed that, because it is restricting and not that fun.
I just need a little inspiration... I am greatly inspired by the style this girl has going.. it's like a 60's idea of what the future looks like. I am slowly building up my wardrobe with pieces similar to these and have the intention of purchasing 1 new dress or pair of shoes per month. I don't ever really go on crazy shopping sprees, but enjoy adding a few cool things here and there =)

I am thankful for...
-I am thankful that Michael doesn't police my clothing/hair/makeup choices.
-I am thankful that I don't live under the thumb of my partner
-I am thankful to have the freedom to do almost anything I want
-I am thankful that Jonas is such a good-natured, easy child to care for
-I am thankful to have a good amount of alone time during the week
-I am thankful to have family living close by
-I am thankful for the ability to discern spirits, and to know when there is a 'wolf in sheeps clothing'
-I am thankful for the ability to decipher dreams
-I am thankful to be so in touch with my subconscious mind
-I am thankful for having lived through such a dry patch in my creativity that I am finally starting to move forward with it!
There are so many things that I am thankful for.. and after listing 10 things my mood has elevated for the day. Becoming thankful for the things in your life is basically like working magic - especially when you already believe your day will suck.

I hope everyone who has read this post has the most joy-filled and revelatory day =)

A fun, wearable red look for self-love month/Valentine's day!

Hey babes! Today I was in a very pink and red kind of mood. I gathered all of my favorite pink and red eyeshadows and glitters and paired them to use for looks later in the week. I am going to try and stay on the same theme for the rest of the week, and post more often! Today I chose to use an eyeshadow I created using the remains from my sample bag of Aromaleigh's - Brazen and Bitter, because holy crap it's such a gorgeous shade!!! I don't have anything like it! I also totally missed out on ordering a full size.. luckily I am good at blending til I get what I want =) Something else I used, was the Flamingo glitter from TKB that BLIX made a sample of for me.. I put it on under the liner wing and patted it on around the browbone area. I hope you like it.

OH YEAH - I went out and bought my favorite mascara... Urban Decay's Skyscraper. It is seriously THA BEST. I know i've written about it before, but I really love using it. The brush feels so perfect and it makes my lashes look soft and naturally long!! I highly endorse this shit, go buy some.

On another note... I e-attended a Radical Self Love workshop held by Gala Darling yesterday. It was very inspirational and I am really glad I found her blog. I would like to share with you some of the things I wrote down in my RSL Bible that I want for the month of February... and don't judge yo!1. Replace w33d with something productive
2. Finish taking pictures for EvilShades, send them off (I'm halfway done!!)

3. Clean out my closet and wardrobe, donate shit
4. Get more plants, keep flowers on my desk
5. Clean bathroom, for real
6. Post more
7. Call my friends more often
8. Drink more water!
9. Write down the compliments I receive
10. Eliminate negative self-talk and body hate forever

YEAH YEAH YEAH! ON TO THE LOOK!

I used:
UDPP and PE as uze
-I patted the 'Brazen and Bitter wannabe' on all over my top lid and a little above
-Morgana Cryptoria - Bloody Mary (the new one) in crease and a little on outer lid, to blend
-Fyrinnae - Sugar Skulls on lower lashline, and above 'B&B wannabe' to blend and create fun dimension (I want to get in the fun dimension!)
-MAC - Retrospeck under brow and on inner v, used to blend all edges. Retrospeck is so softly golden, it was PERFECT for this look!
-TKB Flamingo glitter pressed on top of Pixie Epoxy under liner wing, and on browbone
-CHEEKS: Urban Decay blush in Fetish, applied more heavily than usual.
-Meow Cosmetics - Glow Powder in Canary Diamond above blush, above cheekbones
LIPS: Maybelline lipstick in - Champagne Shimmer and L.A. Splash lip gloss in - Fairy Tale
