weird week, things I'm thankful for on February 18th

Hi all. This week has been a little rough, but not bad! I discovered that I have allergies.. I have never had them before. They seem to have activated when the nice weather came around and the snow melted. I had plans to meet up with a girl on Tuesday but I woke up feeling so bad and grungy, so I canceled! Today I am going to Greeley, CO to spend time with Michaels parents... They LOOOOOOOOVE seeing Jonas so it's like a little gift for them. Life is good, despite the constant flow of snot, ew.

*Today, I am thankful for my sweet little bub, for how quickly he learns new words/things and is an easy child to care for. *I'm thankful for the sun and the warmth this week *for the continual good mood I've been in despite starting my period today *I'm thankful for my period *I'm thankful for NO CRAMPS! and not being pregnant *I'm thankful for the nice car I get to drive *I'm thankful for gas money  *I'm thankful for family living moderately close *I'm thankful to have cute clothes and makeup to wear *for perfume *for my physical body to experience life *for being able to see *for not being color blind *for the crystals that sit on my desk *for the jewel-tone cups we drink out of *for the Evil Shades work to keep me in line *for Andrea for allowing me to do this for her *for the bracelet my mom made me (and probably forgot about haha) *for my little brother who is teaching everyone around him new things while getting into trouble and learning new things for himself *for losing old friends to make room for new ones *for meeting new people everywhere I go *for being OPEN to allowing people in my life *for clarity of mind *for the Neti Pot, seriously *for the coffee I drink every morning *for the spinach smoothies I drink *for the refreshing and energizing shower I'm about to take *for the inspiration I've gotten from Jessica Mullen's blog *for the people that have not unfollowed me due to the drastic changes I've made to my posting style =) *And for the new followers I will inevitably attract!

Today, I'd like to share a picture of one of the Evil Shades I'm most fond of:
Cerberus, from the Mythology Collection. It's a silky dark red with the tiniest fuchsia sparkles. I love it worn alone, or paired with another shade.. It's perfect to use for a smoky eye!

I hope you are all having a beautiful day.. remember to be thankful for even the smallest things in life!

  1. Sorry you aren't feeling well. I battle with allergies year-round, both skin and sinusoidal, so I feel your pain.

I don't mind your new style at all! I love reading your posts, you're so optimistic when I can only be the opposite. I'm trying to be better, it's been rough lately for me, too.

  2. Ug, I'm so sorry you're dealing with allergies. I know what you're going through because I suffer from them too. I hope you're able to find a medication to help.

Have you done a look with this eyeshadow? It looks a little scary and very stunning all at the same time!

  5. Ki! So glad to e-meet you =)

It does look a little scary.. maybe because it's so dark and red. It's really not so bad, just forget about hard lines. I will link you to the perfect smoky eye tutorial by Killer Colours.. after learning from her, all shades this dark will become less scary and more accesible.. and fun. http://killercolours.blogg.se/2011/january/tutorial-extremely-simple-smokey-eyes.html
